This PHTLS Refresher Course is designed to review the essential knowledge and skills required for the assessment and management of trauma patients. The online portion of this course provides a focused review of key concepts that will be reinforced through hands-on skills stations and patient simulations during the classroom session.
Throughout this course, you will review trauma assessment principles, hemorrhage control, airway management, respiration and ventilation, circulation and shock, traumatic brain injury, hypothermia prevention, and special patient populations.
Course completion includes:
- Completion of all online modules
- Completion of the pre-course knowledge assessment
- Attendance at the scheduled classroom session
- Successful participation in practical skills stations
- Successful completion of the written and practical evaluations
